President, Canadian International DX Club
The Canadian International DX Club (CIDX) is Canada's national radio monitoring club, with national headquarters in the Montreal region. Enclosed you will find a listing of services and frequencies from broadcasters in the area which can be monitored using shortwave radios. We sincerely hope you will consider sharing this information with your readers, listeners or viewers.
The times are listed in both UTC (Coordinated Universal Time or GMT), and Eastern Daylight time for your convenience. Frequencies are given in kiloHertz. Broadcasts are in the English language.
Reception of shortwave signals vary greatly. Most days, broadcasts will be easily heard on small, inexpensive portable radios. But on occasion, difficulty may arise due to atmospheric and ionospheric conditions affecting the signals.
Effective March 28
from Glenn Hauser's Review of International Broadcasting.
